Arnette’s Nathan Fletcher Breaks Records And Wins “Ride of the Year” at the Billabong XXL Awards
The XXL awards took place last Friday at the Grove in Anaheim and featured Arnette surf team member, Nathan Fletcher, who was nominated for “Monster Tube of the Year”, “Surfline Performance of the Year” and the “Ride of the Year” for the massive wave he caught at Teahupoo, Tahiti, in 2011. Nathan made a clean sweep at the XXL, winning all three awards and for the first time in the event’s 12 year history, was the first person to win three awards in one night.
Nathan is a perfect fit for Arnette because he has been doing things his own way his whole life and continues to take surfing to new heights. For more than a decade, Nathan has been leading the charge in progressive surfing and big wave riding, so the recognition he received on Friday was well deserved.
