Arnette team rider Rob Darden is a warrior.  The past year has certainly been no picnic for the BMX journeyman as he had to undergo double knee surgery to repair torn ligaments.  The procedure went well but complications landed him in ICU for a week, and after that he had to take blood thinner medication for 6 months to avoid more clots.

However, don't pity Darden, because as he puts it, "I am all good now and riding pretty strong.  I am not a 100% yet, but getting there.  I will be at Dew Tour and X Games [this summer]...  I am looking forward to just riding my bike in general.  To think 8 months ago I had to re-learn how to walk; just riding around is a treat."

With Darden's comeback solidly on track, our buddy Kurt Hohberger from The Union caught up with him to find out about his new bike sponsor Guerra.  So click here for Darden's "Bike Check" on one of our favorite BMX sites.
