March 20, 2012: The rescheduled Arnette Cash Pot Surf Series event for Pipes in Ventura is taking place this weekend, on Saturday, March 24. Cash Spot Surf Series events are beach entry only, with spots given out on a first come, first serve basis. All previous Cash Pot events have been filled to capacity, so surfers looking to enter should plan on being at the beach by 6:30 am for signup.
 
Originally scheduled for March 17 and postponed due to weather forecasts, this is the first time Arnette’s Cash Pot Surf Series has gone through Ventura and it’s been predicted that the heats are going to be packed with surfers from all over SoCal.


Arnette’s regional Cash Pot Surf Series is made up of free-to-enter events taking place throughout California, New Jersey, Hawaii, Florida and North Carolina. It features two divisions at each stop – Pro-Am and 16 & Under – with $3,000 in cash up-for-grabs at each event. Unlike many surf contests where just the top finishers get paid, the Cash Post Surf Series awards monetary prizes to the winners of each heat.
 
ASP judging criteria and interference rules will be in full effect during the Cash Pot Surf Series. The first place finisher in the 16 & Under division will receive $250, the winner of the Pro-Am division brings home $500 and additional prize money will be going to heat winners and surfers who otherwise impress the judges.

The remaining 2012 Arnette Cash Post Surf Series dates and locations include:
* 3/24 – Pipes, Ventura, CA
* 4/21-22 (two day waiting period) – Casino Pier, Seaside Heights, NJ
* 7/08 – Kewalo Basin, Honolulu, HI
* 7/14 – Steamer Lane, Santa Cruz, CA
* 8/13 – Ponce Inlet, FL
* 8/17 – Outer Banks, NC

]]> Wed, 14 Mar 2012 14:45:15 +0000 <![CDATA[Cash Pot Hits Kewalos This Sunday (7/10)]]> http://www.arnette.com/blog/cash-pot-hits-kewalos-sunday/ We're psyched to announce the fourth stop of the 2011 Arnette Cash Pot Surf Series will take place this Sunday, July 10th, at Kewalos in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Our regional surf series is FREE to enter and features seven contests this year throughout California, New Jersey, Hawaii, Florida and North Carolina.  At each contest, surfers are broken up into two divisions – Pro-Am and 16 & Under – with $2,500 in cash on the line.  Unlike most contests where only top finishers get paid, at the Cash Post Surf Series money is awarded from heat one all the way through the finals!

Sunday's check-in time is 6:30am on the beach, with all the action getting underway at 8:00am.  Entry forms are available at local shops and also by clicking here.  Good luck!

]]> Fri, 08 Jul 2011 11:00:00 +0000 <![CDATA[Clay Pollioni Wins Cash Pot at Casino Pier]]> http://www.arnette.com/blog/clay-pollioni-wins-cash-pot-at-casino-pier/ On Sunday, April 10th, the third stop of the 2011 Arnette Cash Pot Surf Series took place at Casino Pier on the Jersey Shore.  Thankfully there were no sightings of The Situation or Snooki...

Seeing as it was early April on the East Coast, the conditions weren't ideal, but plenty of great surfing still went down.  Air temps barely cracked 50, water temps were in the mid-40's, full suits were in effect, and super fun head-high waves were pumping all day.

With $2,500 in cash up-for-grabs, everyone was definitely going for it.  When it was all said and done, the big winners of the day were 13-year-old young gun Tyler Clazey in the U16 division, and power surfer Clay Pollioni in the Pro/Am division.  Congrats fellas!
