Jake Weimer at Supercross in Anaheim A2

This past weekend, Supercross made its way back to Anaheim for the third event of the year. Despite our boy Jake Weimer battling the flu all week, he claimed the 450 main event holeshot and lead the first 3 laps. The flu caught up to him and so did the other riders and Jake finished 5th in the main. A top five finish is great for Jake and we are super stoked on how he’s been riding this year.

Jake Weimer had another strong finish in Phoenix, AZ this weekend in sixth place. He has gone through a big change in sponsors this year and we are excited to be one of them!

The questions in this feature have nothing to do with motocross, but dirt bikes always trickle back in the responses we get. Understandable, since our subjects were born and bred to wring the hell out of motorcycle, but it is nice to get replies like the ones Blake Baggett and Malcolm Stewart have given us. Everyone knows that the JDR/J-Star/KTM racer has one of the most colorful personalities in the pits, and it came out when we turned our recorder on.

A hot chick, of course.

A grandma.

Arnette Welcomes Jake Weimer To MX Team
As He Takes The King of Bercy 2012 Title

Encinitas, CA – November 14, 2012 – Arnette continues to open up the throttle on their MX program with the addition of Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Jake Weimer. Racing pro since 2005, Jake’s hard charging work ethic, soft spoken presence and ability to have fun off his bike makes him a great fit for Arnette as they expand their MX roster. The most recent evidence of Jake’s work ethic can be seen in Jake coming out first in the King of Bercy taking place in Paris over the weekend, his first race wearing Arnette’s Series 3MX goggle.

“Jake has been on a mission ever since coming off his broken arm last year. He’s getting a lot of attention because of his riding, but it’s his drive and attitude that make him a great addition to our MX program at Arnette,” commented Brent Bearden, Arnette Team & Events Manager. “Besides being dedicated to his racing, we know Jake likes to have fun and get on his snowboard in his free time too, so he’ll be a great fit with the rest of the guys on the team too.”

In addition to Jake, Arnette’s MX team includes a small but growing group of riders and personalities, including Robbie Maddison, Nick Wey and Adam Jones.

“I’m excited Arnette is backing me. They have a tight crew and really support what I want to do moving forward,” commented Jake. “Their Series 3MX goggle is sick and they have a new goggle in the works I’m psyched on that I think is going to blow minds.”

Arnette Adds Nick Wey To Motocross Team

FOOTHILL RANCH, CA – February 23, 2012 – Arnette is excited to announce Supercross veteran and Michigan native, Nick Wey, is now a part of the Arnette Motocross Team. Wey, who turned pro 15 years ago, has the drive and hustle that Arnette is looking for as they open up their new MX racing program.

“I couldn't be more excited to team up with Arnette, they’ve got the image and product I’m looking for in a sponsor. The Series 3MX goggle performs flawlessly and their sunglasses can’t be beat,” commented Nick.

Arnette has been making moves in MX and FMX since the launch of their Series 3MX goggle in September of 2011. Other dirt notables wearing the Series 3MX goggle include Robbie Maddison and Adam Jones, as well as former professional racer and current Arnette Motocross Team Ambassador, Jeff Northrop.
