Friday: Wildcard Event

On July 6th it was time for the qualification to join the 45 invited riders at Red Bull Bomb the Line 2012 supported by Arnette. After a 90 minutes long battle it was clear which five rippers earned themselves a wildcard for the main event on Saturday: Robin Wulf (GER), Mack McKelton (GER), Georg Balkhamishvili (GER), Philipp Josephu (AUT) and Jason Choi (KOR)

Saturday: Main Event

50 skaters and three obstacles - everybody was stoked to see who will be crowned king of the world famous spot. After two impressive heats at the double set with hubba, the kicker and the ten stair set with a handrail the weather forced the skaters to take a break and wait for the sun to come back. After a couple of rainy hours the spot was dry again and it was time for two more heats and the finals.

All the guys were killing it but Shane O´Neill convinced the judges with a nollie nosegrind at the hubba, a perfect switchflip over the kicker and finally a nollie backside heelflip down the ten stairs. Mark Fröhlich came in second with a frontside noseslide – backside flip – backside 180 fakie nosegrind line (first try!) and Mark Zaprasny made the third place.

Shops from all over Florida battled it out all day for $500 cash!   The finals came down to two of the best shops, Sunrise and Midtown. Check it out to WIN a goodie bag...]]> http://www.arnette.com/blog/in-your-face-skate-winners-pro-skaters-marathon-private-session-part-2/ The Sucihi boys as they are known were the lucky winners of a contest organized by Arnette Europe, where teams activated up to four participants, grabbed a videographer and set out to make the best skate section imaginable-which was then voted on by the public. Needless to say, the Sucihi boys were pretty solid and held their own when they met up with our seasoned skate vets and Arnette Family members Willy Santos, Pat Duffy, Danny Supa and newcoming young buck Ryan Decenzo. What follows below is all the action that took place and some pretty insane skating to say the least.

There are five sequences of Ryan Decenzo and the first four people to head over to our Facebook page and correctly name the tricks will be the lucky winners of an Arnette goodie bag. Enjoy the images from the day!

Well, this indeed was the very case yesterday for the winning IN YOUR FACE skate crew from Barcelona, Spain. The Sucihi boys as they are known were the lucky winners of a contest organized by Arnette Europe, where teams activated up to five participants, grabbed a videographer and set out to make the best skate section imaginable-which was then voted on by the public. Needless to say, the Sucihi boys were pretty solid and held their own when they met up with seasoned skate vets and Arnette Family members Willy Santos, Pat Duffy, Danny Supa and newcoming young buck Ryan Decenzo. If they were nervous, they did a damn fine job hiding it.

The Barcelona boys' eyes lit up with excitement when told they would be going to a private/secret skate spot, and have it all to themselves while skating with our top dawgs. I could go on and on about the level of skating that went down but we're saving that for our major post next week complete with sequences, video and all, but for now, please enjoy these few snippets of shredfulness.
