We collaborated with Willy Santos to bring a Street Fighter II arcade tournament to the store, as well as open skating in the Arnette parking lot. Wahoo’s catered the event and Boom Headphones provided music.
 
Those who did not want to skate were able to enter and compete in the SFII tournament for free with the opportunity to win some great prizes! Check out the video re-cap. Willy Santos and Pat Duffy attended and gave the crowd a little skate demo!

]]> Wed, 03 Apr 2013 09:54:21 +0000 <![CDATA[2013 Cash Pot Surf Series Blackies Recap]]> http://www.arnette.com/blog/2013-Cash-Pot-Surf-Series-Blackies-Recap/ Last Sunday, was the second stop of the 2013 Cash Pot Surf Series.  The waves were barely contestable but we managed to get the contest going.   All the contestants had a great time because the cash was flowing and the sun was out.   We are looking forward to our next stop at Ala Moana Bowls, Hawaii  on July 12th and 13th which will be the first ever two day event in Cash Pot history.  Pray for surf!!

]]> Tue, 05 Mar 2013 14:54:21 +0000 <![CDATA[2013 Cash Pot Surf Series Seaside Reef Recap]]> http://www.arnette.com/blog/2013-Cash-Pot-Surf-Series-Seaside-Reef-Recap/ Last Saturday, was the first stop of the 2013 Cash Pot Surf Series.  We had over 60 contestants in fun 2-3 foot surf at Seaside Reef in San Diego.  We had competitors from Japan, Brazil and Puerto Rico enter the event. It was a day full of sun, fun and good waves and everyone left the beach super stoked.

]]> Tue, 19 Feb 2013 11:54:21 +0000 <![CDATA[DTTD San Francisco Recap]]> http://www.arnette.com/blog/DTTD-San-Francisco-Recap/ This past weekend San Francisco went crazy.  On Saturday they hosted the 2nd Downtown Throwdown, which was at the Civic Center again.  We had a few riders in it: Andrew Brewer, Nial Romanek, & Sammy Spiteri.  Sammy was killing it and then slammed pretty hard and ruined his shoulder.  Andrew got his fingers run over and nearly bled to death but got back up and landed himself on the podium.  Nial was the biggest boss of them all, and did a never before seen in competition rail move:  it was something like a nollie fs 180 to switch nosepress.  …pretty difficult, which the judges rewarded him as the winner.  The next day the SF Giants won the world series too, so everybody in the area had a great time!

]]> Thu, 01 Nov 2012 13:21:28 +0000 <![CDATA[Arnette at Hot Dawgs and Hand Rails]]> http://www.arnette.com/blog/Arnette-at-Hot-Dawgs-and-Hand-Rails/ Hot Dawgs & Hand Rails just happened at Bear Mtn, and it was crazy!  If you were there, you know what we're talking about, if not... check this coverage of our dudes so you can understand why they are all so sore and tired right now.  Both Andrew Brewer and Spencer Schubert were killing it until they snapped their snowboards in half.  Sam Taxwood, Ben Biladeau, and Dylan Dragotta all rode like bats outta hell and gave the crowd something to scream about.  Check out all the coverage they got.

]]> Mon, 24 Sep 2012 11:02:02 +0000 <![CDATA[Arnette Encinitas Office Opening ]]> http://www.arnette.com/blog/Arnette-Encinitas-Office-Opening/ On August 16, we had our opening house event at the new Arnette office in Encinitas, CA (San Diego for those of you not living in SoCal).

The event kicked off at 5 pm to get people hyped for the upcoming screening of TransWorld SURF’s “Let’s Surf Seriously” movie at La Paloma theater, which features our own Mason Ho and Chippa Wilson. Cash’d Out kept the music going while Kru Vodka, Ballast Point and Sam Houston made sure the bar was stocked. Bubba’s Asian BBQ kept the crew fed, which included Pat Duffy, Chippa Wilson, Willy Santos and Robbie Maddison, who came out to show their support.
