If you don't already know, Linkin Park's new single "Iridescent" is featured in the third installment of the Transformers mega-franchise.  It's a really great song and you can check it out in the below video from their live performance in Moscow's Red Square on June 23rd.

So, when he rolled up to Arnette HQ in his convertible yesterday we took some time to hang out, ask him a few questions and proceed to watch as he and his buddy (Dane Beardsley) ripped around on our pump track out back and then took it to the street to give us a flatland clinic.

Arnette: How did you get the nickname Catfish?

Zack Yankush: Short story:Catfish came about because I was jealous that all my friends had nicknames and I didn't so I gave myself the best or worst nickname ever. Long story: involves knockouts, police, and bi-sexual women.

AR: Who/what are your inspirations?

ZY: I get a lot of inspiration from music- I am inspired by struggling artists. A lot of my inspiration comes from riders. Rob Ridge, BK, Degroot, Nyquist.

AR: What Arnette frame is your favorite and why?

ZY: I love the venkmans. They make me feel important and smart when I wear them.

AR: What do you (and others) think about Arnette being in the BMX world?

ZY: It's always a great thing when a company like Arnette gets involved in bmx. Doing it the right way with a tight dialed team was key. It's rad because  Arnette understands the lifestyle aspect of bmx. It's not about contest placings as much as it is looking good.

AR: How was our pump track?

ZY: Whooped my ass, got my brand new jeans dirty, but had a blast! I can't wait for my next visit- I'm gonna clear everything!

AR: Are you looking forward to commentating our Fall Classic coming up?

ZY: Can. Not. Wait. The etnies park is one of my favorite in California. I've talked to a lot of riders and it's going to be packed with a ton of talent! Be there or be square!


AR: Wanna give any final shout outs, advice to beginners etc!

ZY: Don't let anyone dictate your dreams to you. If I would have listened to the haters, I would be working a pathetic job like they all are- I am writing this from Puerto Rico. Holler!

Zack with good mate Dane Beardsley...btw, did we mention that Dane himself is one of the top five Flatlanders in the world? That sure makes for good travel company.
